Energy & Social security

Nov. 4, 2008

Before the president election day, Mr. Pickens asks to join its army to press either McCain or Obama for the energy policy.

Here is his brief ethic.
The total global oil product is 85 million barrels a day while  America consumes 21 million barrels. That means 25% of total oil product using for American, for only 4% of the global population.

America imported 24% of its oil consume in 1970, 42% 1990, 70%, 700 billion dollars only 2008, 4 times of annual Iraq war.
American electric power is made 50% by coal, 20% by nuclear and 22% by oil. There is plenty of wind near the middle of the American continental year around. We can get 25% of electric power by windmills that can replace oil produce electricity and we can save this oil for automobiles which is 38% (300 billion dollars) of the total automobile consumption.

Now its time for the new Obama ministration should do another bold business for the country needs.
This is a good way of overcoming the new recession we just faced.
This is another kind of SOC like highway, railway, hydropower station or telephone by governmental base.

This wind energy is absolutely free and forever.
This is also pro environmental.

As a result, this is the very business to apply for the social security.

Social Security

I don’t know American social security system as well as you. Only I know that I pay every month a certain amount from my payroll until I retire at 65 years old and which I get paid back from the social security office until I die.

This is a good system to survive for the no income. After the great 1929 recession, the social security paid was more than plenty. But the amount is getting smaller and will finally disappear by the 2040’s.

On Nov. 4, 2008, a new American president was elected with every body’s expectation of change.

We remember the remarkable major development of American history.
Most development of infrastructures have been made by the federal investment or involvement.
Railway construction connecting east to west completed in 19 centry by after gold rush.

Huge hydropower dams were established by Hoover ministration ---- to overcome 1929 great recession.
President Eisenhower --- developed highway construction just after Korean War.
Pres. Kennedy extended his challenge for space development competing
Soviet Union .

Finally Ronald Regan won over Soviet Union by star war plan.
Other than the above, American government spent the tax money for physical wars;
Independent war; George Washington
Civil war; Abraham Lincoln
World War II; F.D. Roosevelt
Korean War; Truman
Vietnam War; J.F. Kennedy
Iraq War I; H. Bush
Iraq War II; G. Bush

We spent too long time too much money for the wars.
Don’t you think its time to enforce our new infrastructure like energy we desperately need.

Here I like to suggest revising current the social security system as follows.
As you read the bible, the Lord left equal amount money to three servants before he travelled. When he returned, he found A made double amount by successful business, B returned to his Lord the premium plus a little amount as much as interest, while C brought the money buried underground saying, “my Lord, here is the money you left to me, I didn’t touch any and good take care of. Of cause I didn’t loose or use it.”
The Lord took the money from C and gave it to A with praising him.

How dose the Social security office take care of the tax? Do they collect taxes and save them in safe box the premium without any interest nor profit and deduct their office cost and redistribute like C? Or do they deposit for interest like B?
I heard the pension 401K purchased stock lost a lot. Nevertheless, the deposit of social security fund should have earned profit like A.
Whatsoever, it must be profitable, forever, safe and fair.
What kind of business could that be?

Here is my inspiration. Human beings, to continue living and developing in the future, we absolutely need energy that is a must essential of all. I’m sure this must be a very profitable and safe business.
Next is, what kind energy will this be? Nuclear, carbon, solar, geothermal, windmill or hydro power?
Nuclear power is unsafe so far.
Carbon power makes global pollution and resources limited.
Solar power is not so efficient for its cost.
Geothermal energy is not yet practical; it needs to be studied more in future. Windmill power and hydro power are the only available safe energy given by nature or god.

I know hydro power cost much more, but once it constructed it last long and we can save water resources for multipurpose as well.
Windmill power is also plenty available with profitable and forever as mentioned by *Mr. T Boone Pickens.

Here everything is clear. To be safe and fair, Government should invest federal bases for the windmill and hydro power plants and proves it profitable and endorses total facilities to the Social Security Organization.

This project could make most of all citizen relief from the worry of social security fund shortage. We can hope to expect more return than we deposited to social security.

Generating electricity without global pollution and solving the social security shortage is of “one stone for three birds.”

This also complies with the bible mentioned by God’s will.
